In 1922, Dr. A. C. Arnett opened a clinic with a mission to improve the health and quality of life in the communities it served. For the past eighty-five years, we’ve done just that. Arnett has made significant contributions to health care by bringing many specialties to this area, including Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Pulmonary, Rheumatology, Cancer Care, Interventional Cardiology and Neonatology. Several programs available here were introduced by Arnett and include dialysis, chemotherapy and the start-up of the community health clinic.
Arnett continues to pioneer innovative ways to serve you. As Clarian Arnett Health, we are building a new system of health care delivery that is expected to yield extraordinary benefits for patients and referring providers. Our integrated system of care will offer a seamless patient care experience never before seen in Lafayette or our region. Our system approach will offer comprehensive management of preventive care, office-based care, outpatient surgery care and hospital-based care.
Clarian as a Partner
Arnett and Clarian share a common mission. Both are focused on improving the health of patients and the community.
Clarian Health is Indiana’s largest and most comprehensive health system and one of the busiest hospital systems in the nation with three flagship hospitals in Indianapolis: Methodist Hospital, Indiana University Hospital and Riley Hospital for Children. Clarian Health strives to meet the needs of their communities by being where the patients need them. To achieve this, Clarian North and Clarian West, two community-based hospitals located in Indianapolis suburbs, were developed, and Clarian has multiple partnerships with hospitals throughout Indiana.
Through the Clarian-Arnett partnership, we will lead the way in improving the health of the people in our region. Working closely with the state’s only medical school, we will remain on the ‘cutting edge’ of technology. Also, the connection to Riley Hospital allows us to draw on the knowledge and expertise of pediatric subspecialists and bring these specialties to our region.

Under Construction: Clarian Arnett Hospital
As part of Clarian Arnett Health, Clarian Arnett Hospital will bring high quality health care to our region, which is dedicated to service, convenience and comfort by compassionate professionals in a supportive, family centered, healing environment. With the addition of Clarian Arnett Hospital, we will offer a seamless patient care experience.
Clarian Arnett Hospital will be a full-service acute care hospital providing an array of services. The Hospital will offer emergency care as well as provide exceptional care in the areas of cancer, diabetes, heart care, spinal and orthopaedic care - to name a few.
Clarian Arnett Hospital will operate an open staffing model. This means non-Arnett providers are welcome to serve their patients in our hospital.
Clarian Arnett Hospital will not just be another community hospital because what we are creating is more than a hospital. Clarian Arnett Health will be a regional destination for health care, which will continually evolve to meet your needs.
