Arnett Physician Receives Honor
Lafayette, IN – Dr. Jay Prochnau served as one of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology’s (ACAAI) local asthma screening coordinators. Dr. Prochnau joined 183 ACAAI members nationwide to promote asthma screenings.
Dr. Prochnau donated his time and skills to serve as a coordinator for local programs in the 2006 Nationwide Asthma Screening Program. Nationwide more than 10,000 people were screened and more than half were referred for a professional diagnosis.
The program also generated over 615 consumer media articles and broadcast reaching an estimated audience of 248.5 million. It also prompted 30,000 visits to the ACAAI website for screening program information and to take the College’s LQ Test or Kids’ Asthma Check.
