Description:

This test is an ultrasound picture of your heart. The ultrasound will evaluate your heart muscle, the valves in heart and the blood flow through your heart.

Procedure:

You will be asked to undress from the waist up and put a gown on. You will lay on a bed, usually on your left side. The technician will use gel on a probe to scan your chest. The procedure can last from twenty to forty minutes.

Preparation:

Wear a comfortable two piece outfit.

After the Test:

There are no restrictions after this test. A Cardiologist will read your scan and send the results back to your physician. You will receive your results from your physician.
